Farmico Earth is Farmico Group’s dedicated black-granite operation in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka. Spread across 31.15 acres, the quarry is managed with modern extraction techniques and a full processing line to convert premium blocks into calibrated slabs and finished stone.

Processing and Quality
Quarrying & Mining process
- Geological survey & planning Detailed surveys and resource modelling determine optimal extraction zones and minimise disturbance.
- Overburden removal Heavy earthmoving equipment clears soil and loose rock to expose the granite face.
- Controlled extraction Precision drilling, diamond wire sawing and controlled splitting detach large benches while preserving stone integrity.
- Bench detachment & handling Large granite benches are carefully separated and moved using hydraulic cranes to on-site inspection areas.
All extraction is performed with an emphasis on minimising waste and maintaining block integrity for downstream processing.
From quarry to finished product
- Primary inspection Bench-level quality checks (color uniformity, fissure detection) determine the blocks to be processed.
- Cutting Diamond wire saws and gang-saw machines slice blocks into slabs; water/abrasive slurry cools equipment and suppresses dust.
- Calibration & finishing Slabs are calibrated, honed or polished to customer specifications; custom cut-to-size work is available for cladding, countertops and bespoke installations.
- Packing & logistics Finished goods are inspected, packed and containerised for domestic delivery or export.
